About the role
<p>Kanhaji is launching a premium curated grocery and lifestyle retail experience in Tokyo. As Store Operations Manager, you will own end-to-end store operations — from opening procedures to merchandising, staffing, and the daily rhythm that keeps a premium retail experience consistent.</p>
Responsibilities
- Own opening, closing, and daily floor operations
- Lead, schedule, and develop store associates
- Maintain merchandising standards and seasonal resets
- Manage stock, ordering rhythms, and supplier coordination with HQ
- Own customer experience standards and resolve issues on the floor
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in premium retail or specialty grocery operations
- Track record managing a small floor team
- Japanese fluency required; English working proficiency preferred
- Strong operational discipline and merchandising eye
- Comfort with retail POS, inventory, and back-office tooling
